Algunas versiones antiguas de outlook no se conectan con nuestro Exchange Server 2007.
Durante la instalación se nos pregunta lo siguiente: “Do you have any client computers running Outlook 2003 and earlier or Entourage in your organization?“. Qué hacemos si cuando instalamos nuestro Exchange Server 2007 seleccionamos que NO y ahora hay clientes que no se pueden conectar? Reinstalamos? . Bueno… a no desesperar, hay otra opción.
Recordemos que Outlook 2000 no es compatible con Exchange 2007.
La solucién a esta problemática es la siguiente:
- Primero creamos un almacén de carpetas públicas nuevo.
- Conectamos este almacén (public folder store) a un Mailbox Store existente que contenga los mailboxes de los usuarios.
- Utilizamos “Configure Offline Address Book (OAB) Distribution for Outlook 2003 and earlier clients” y habilitamos la opción Offline Address Book (OAB) distribution para outlook 2003 y versiones anteriores.
