He estado realizando pruebas sobre Windows Vista y he tenido algunos problemas para instalar Virtual Server 2005 R2 sobre este sistema operativo, por lo cual estoy publicando la solucion que encontre como para facilitar esta tarea.<\/p>\n
Por empezar, windows vista trae la version 7.0 de Internet Information Server con lo cual se complica un poco la instalacion, para solventar esto debemos instalar la consola de compatibilidad del IIS 6.0.<\/p>\n
La instalacion por defecto de IIS no instala algunos componentes basicos que necesitamos para que el Virtual Server funcione. Lo mas importante es que no instala el soporte para aplicaciones CGI o con seguridad Windows Authentication. Esto se puede instalar manualmente via Windows Component Installer o por linea de comando corriendo este script.<\/p>\n

Si no funciona la otra opcion es realizar la instalacion de los componentes via interfaz grafica seleccionando todos los componentes dentro de ‘IIS 6 Management Compatibility<\/strong>‘ y dentro de la seccion ‘Web Management tools<\/strong>‘ debemos seleccionar los componentes\u00a0CGI y dentro de la seccion Seguridad\u00a0seleccionamos Windows authentication support<\/strong>.
